Well it's been an action packed

first day as we see a clear lead developing in this relatively one sided game. As we head toward the close of the first days innings we can't help wondering if the opponents will use their home advantage to stage an almost insurmountable comeback tomorrow.

I'm going to go to hell...
Sorry, I couldn't resist it, but anyway, this made me think of it:
Iraq set to play Vietnam

March 21, 2003
IRAQ will play its 2004 Olympic qualifying game with Vietnam in Damascus, Syria, rather than Baghdad as originally planned, soccer's governing body said.

FIFA decided to move the game to Damascus for security reasons on Tuesday. US-led forces launched a pre-dawn attack on Iraq on Thursday.

The Iraq-Vietnam match is scheduled for April 5, although tensions could lead to the game's postponement. A FIFA spokesman said that for the moment, however, the match was to go ahead.

oh yeah

yeah, they launched those scuds that ,according to thier declaration to the UN, they "did not have". You know France was right, we should assume Saddam Hussein is telling the truth and stop questioning his integrity. What a bunch of pussies.
