The ’Pfadi Musegg’ boy scouts accidentally caused a major bomb scare in Lucerne on Sunday. The troop’s supervisors had organized a game were the kids had to find a series of shoeboxes spread around different parts of downtown Lucerne. The colored boxes contained ticking alarm clocks, and the scouts were supposed to find the items before the alarms went off. The youths failed to find one of the devices and organizers forgot about it until they heard a newsflash on the radio regarding a supposed bomb. Specialized police had been called in from Zurich and had ’neutralized’ the contraption. Authorities were a bit puzzled about the whole affaire, until the scouts rang up to apologize. The ’Pfadi Musegg’ troop promised that they would change their games in the future.
