Sie wurden im Mai 2002 in Portland, Oregon von Hutch Harris (Vocals/Gitarre), Kathy Foster (Bass) und Jordan Hudson (Drums) gegründet, und ihr für 60 Dollars aufgenommenenes Debut-Album "more parts per million" erschien bereits 10 Monate später auf SubPop, nachdem sie nach ihrer 6. As popular in the English Speaking world as Live Football, Rugby and Music events combined. Annointed by the UK press as the "New Rock ‘n' Roll" of entertainment. And now, bringing the very best of the current crop of Stand-up Comedians to Zurich, Guy Stevens presents THE FUNNY LAUNDRY.

He says: "Zurich is fast becoming a European and Global cultural hotspot...there are loads of native English speaking and non-native English speaking people here who are in desperate need of being able to laugh themselves silly, somewhere in this town!?! Myself included! Not being one to slack, and having been in the industry all my life, I thought "Sod this for a lark!" and decided to do it myself......and so here it is!! Sunday night is a great night to finish your weekend or even start your week with a bunch of mates watching some of the best Comics in the world and.......and besides there's nob-all else to do early on a Sunday evening in Zurich!"

This exciting new night is being held at Mascotte from Sunday 8th October and every second Sunday thereafter until 17th December. Dorrs open at 6.30pm and shows start at 7.30pm. The 2007 season begins again on Sunday 21st January.

Some of the very best names in the Comedy world will be performing at every show, coming from many different English speaking nations, and each with their own opinions and viewpoints on every subject about human life you can think of, delivered in their own individual styles. All of them directly communicating with the audience, sometimes one-to-one. It can only be said: expect FIREWORKS!
