Just after we happened to be talking about it the other day...

not related to PTT, but another...

..little thing they should consider is to NOT charge customers where calls are routed to the same antenna. So that people gain on bein with one service provider / same area. It would also be nice to somehow be told this when you're making the phonecall with a message on your screen saying free call or whatever..
(thanks to b or whoever told me about this.. )

viva USA where this is alreaady in place since day 1, although some of their networks are sh_t..

and about ISPs..
also cablecom for instance should let all customers on their network to seemlessly interact at 100mbit (or even gigabit) both ways internally..
that would be a wicked feature!

Telecoms: Bizarrely enough I just had that exact conversation with one of my mates who works for Sunrise. He agrees, unfortunately the operators are money hungry (especially here in CH). For the record; using the same antenna there should not be any billing for call building since there is no need to use the extended network of the operator...

ISP: Can you imagine the piracy??? We could have permanent video links between our apartments. It would be great, no need to go out anymore, just turn on the screens and pretend you're in a weird modern bar! ;o)
