Celebrity lifestyle guru Martha Stewart has been sentenced to five months in jail by a New York courtroom over charges of conspiracy and obstruction.
The US trendsetter was convicted in March, but has been waiting since then to see if she would be sent to prison.

She was also given two years supervised release.

Stewart, 62, who with a multi-billion dollar business empire is a household name in the US was also given a $30,000 fine.
