Does anyone know how much a van kurier earns

New career opportunity? One of my colleagues used to be a bike courier, seems to have done quite well for himself and he enjoyed it at the time... He started off at 20/hr and then up to 40 once he knew his way around. I reckon a courier with a car (or van) would be a bit more, but not much... ... Link

Yep
but I blew it. I suggested about 36 an hour, and he said I'd come to the worng place. So I asked him what was normal but he refused too tell me, said there was no point and then hung up. Very strange. ... Link

I would've guessed about the same to be honest, for startup. With an increase once you knew your way around better... Maybe it would've been best to suggest a commission based rate? A percentage of the value of the delivery? ... Link

I reckon they get more, I was offered 60 an hour once when I was eighteen for a courier job. Maybe that was driving dead bodies around or something. ... Link ... Comment |
