Olympus C-3020
Camedia C-3020 is what I have and it's a very good camera. It has tons of features and easy to use. Only draw back is the lens cap that needs to be removed before you turn on the camera (can be replaced with a photo tube). I got my factory refurbished for $350 and it is basically new. It will do 3.2 mega pixels. If you want more I would still suggest an Olympus. Their 5 Mega Pixels one is also very good. If you look for reviews on the web you can get a good feel of what cameras are good and which ones aren’t. -Stefan ... Link ... Comment

Digital Video
If you are looking for a digital video camera I would suggest the Canon XL1-S. Make sure you get the S as it has a lot of fixes. I don’t have one (I wish) so I can’t tell you if is good but from what I hear it is the best. Almost all aftermarket digital video camera lenses etc. are available for the XL1. it is consider to be “THE” digital video camera for semi-serious film makers. -Stefan ... Link
