unisex has set sail...

my friends from the good-old childhood seem to have opened the right door now..

their song is playing on bbc radio, the video is out on mtv2.. and the reviews are good..

here's one from virginstudent.com:

This Week: The Dandy Warhols break into the monkey house and Feeder sweat a lot, leaving The Unisex to steal the honours

The Unisex - Take Me Higher (Star Harbour)
As this dropped on to VS’ manic Music Desk, our collective heart sank. Another band, another definite article. More garage-punk detritus smelling of old leather jackets and wee? Startlingly, it seems that The Unisex haven’t been listening to the Ramones or the Stooges recently. Instead they mine a rich vein of jangling, sunny-side-up melody, dusted with a dizzy psychedelia that touches on the glacial thrill of an early Stone Roses amongst others. Hailing from sexy Sweden, they even see fit to make B-side Magic Carpet strangely reminiscent of How Was It For You? by James. These guys are gonna be legends.
