Finns fail in spectacular fashion as Sweden moves on

Teemu Selänne got a hat trick and Finland scored five straight goals in the first half of the game to get a 5-1 lead, but the Swedes roared back with five of their own to earn a 6-5 win and secure a semi-final confrontation with Slovakia May 9. It was the worst collapse in a key situation in the history of Finnish hockey, and the biggest comeback in Swedish or maybe even Worlds history. ... Comment |
