you don't need a branded computer to make this work! just use the asus certs if you don't have one of the brands..

a personal tip:
if you want to save your MBR (master boot record) before altering it, use winrescue..

this is the softmod version again that i mentioned earlier.. and everyone that has used it has got it to work!
no longer needed apparently!!

If you are downloading the dvd image, the winbeta RTM is recommended unless you found your own OEM version.. but it doesn't really matter.. :-P

Vista media center is pretty cool, all i need now is an antec fusion case (here), and a hacked cablecom card that works with a pci dvb-c card.... yay..

any news on getting a dvb-c cablecom card that is not paired with the cablecom box, please let me know.. or if you know how to hack mac addresses on smartcards ;-) !!
