I don’t get it... Making a private copy is legal but its not legal to hack the copy-protection? Governments Stupidity never ceases to surprise me!!! So I buy a CD, get home and put it into my computer to make a "safety copy". First thing that hits me is the DRM protection. According to this law i am not allowed to crack the DRM protection as this is illegal. Ergo i am stuck. Really? NO: i can hook my computer up to an old tape recorder, record the tracks on there, then play it in a analogue format to the comp again and use a program to set each track. Then all i need to do is to encode it in some usable format and voila! I have my LEGAL digital backup. Either some serious retro-nerd, who sits 2-4 hours per CD every Sunday, was designing this law or MPAA got their tongue so far up the Swiss governments nutella that they are playing tonsils ping pong! OR:. you rip off the corner of a post-it note. cover the visible "inner circle" of the cd track, and voila drm is gone ;-) go ahead and copy the cd.. this is how i mp3'd soffy's record... ;-P illegal.. but it works!! ... Link

I'm confused...
Even the swiss p2p legalspeak is easier to understand than this: "tong so far up the Swiss governments nutelly that they are playing tongcil pingpong" What are tongs, nutellys and tongcils? Can I buy them at my local Tinterweb? or do I have to go all the way to Woobers? ... Link
