Transportation Security Administration implements security measures in wake of serious terrorist threat
In response to a serious terrorist threat to international aviation security, the Secretary of Homeland Security has elevated the Homeland Security Advisory System Threat Condition to Severe, or Red, for all commercial flights from the United Kingdom to the United States, and to High, or Orange, for all other international flights and all domestic commercial aviation. more

i am sure if they were flying from the other direction there would have been nothing stopping them and not to forget; well done blair (bermuda? barbados?) & bush (at the ranch in texas) for taking a very suiting holiday when they knew this was about to happen.. reminds us of how much use you are in these situations ;-P
