Br0aky claims that leaving his red-hot (Dell) laptop on our brand-new sofa is not risky and that it will not set on fire ever in any way and that they are meant to get that hot when you use them...

I'm sorry, but your hackintosh mactop is now only allowed on your lap and when not in use should be stored in the freezer. Or give it back and get a typewriter so our cat can wee on it without fear of combustion.

1. i checked my laptop on that website as soon i got it.. and GUESS WHAT it's not one of affected batteries! otherwise i would have had it replaced.

2. the laptop goes into hibernation / turns off if it by chance gets too hot.. [you can actually test this by strangulation (blocking the air intake / output)]

3. 40 degrees is not bad for cpu temp; especially not in laptops.

for other dell users, you can get this app to read the temperatures measured inside and sits nicely in the taskbar

and as long as you use it to check the temp you're ab fine

something like this could ofcourse only happen to a dell machine.. the chances are slimmer than getting infected by th R5N1 virus.

i have a dell because i love the simple yet bulky design.. and using as many colours as possible in one design is SEXY..

i also bought it so I can impress people around me when i go on trips so they can say: "oh what a cute little 15'4" WUXGA laptop! does that have pentium M? can i lick it, can i put my fingers in the cf slot and rub my anus on the ejectable tray for the 16x dvd-r drive.. stimulate myself witf the bluetooth radiowaves and and finally melt my PVC suit onto my body with the overheated cpu" (that's overheated 'coz i've been watching pr0n in native HD @ 1080i)?

who knows..the orgasms could be explosive.

that laptop test has already been done with the old couch, since I got the laptop about 8 months ago until thursday, and yes.. it's fine.

easy as dell, hot like dell => burn in dell!
