Warner Bros. to start German file-sharing service

LONDON (Reuters) - Warner Bros. said on Monday it would soon begin selling movies and television shows in Germany, Austria and Switzerland using a peer-to-peer network, embracing the very technology that has rattled the entertainment industry.

Would have been a cool service if the movies would be in English

you should be able to choose original language (also from all available dubbed translations) and subtitles (from all available) if needed.. aaargh. i don't underSATANd what corportions have against making money..

they porblably have a lot of germans going for it.. but they will be missing a great marketshare for expats and people who enjoy movies in the original language.

three other factors that i am wondering about.
- availability (the whole dvd catalogue, NOT just selected works?)
- speed of service (you should be able to download at the maximum speed, P2P ?? who want's to give their bandwith to warner bros for a movie you are paying for?? ridiculous!!)

if p2p must be used, then make sure that wb tops off the speed that you're not getting from other users..

- format (you should be able to choose which format, so you get the one that floats your boat (i prefer HQ x264, low space and wicked HI-RES) )
