Wouldn't be the first time...
They've been trying to combat counterfeiting ever since they realised how close we were getting to the ability to (relatively) easily create very convincing money using not much more than a desktop PC and colour laserjet... To be honest combatting counterfeiting is a very important issue. Maybe the country with the most used currency in the world would think of a design that wasn't easily counterfeit. If they don’t, it’s their own fault to have their currency devaluated and eventually replaced by another nation(s)(’s). There are 3rd world countries with better protection in their paper money. ... Undeniable, but to force a change of currency by destroying the worlds largest economy is not the way I would want things to happen. The repercussions on every single person around the globe would be tremendous, and not in a good way! ... Link ... Comment |
