If I read the blurb correctly it automatically imports your GMail contacts anyway... Unfortunately I cannot run the software over our firewall - no connection possible. I do however use Jabber so if anyone wants to add me as ben_macdermott(at)hotmail.com then you should be able to see me (as long as this beta includes external Jabber connectivity)... Either that or ben.macdermott(at)gmail.com and I'll logon later from home... ... Link

Don't patronise me ;o) I think I know how to setup a piece of software to work over a proxy... We use a different authentication method to standard proxies... ... Link ... Comment

since google neglect mac-users for a long time - well, i found several gmail-checkers in the meantime... but gTalk should work with iChat as well: ad.1(at)mac(dot)com ... Link
