Help for Broaky's Mac-PC network problem

if all of this is not the problem, then try to get a different ethernet switch, it must be that in this case. ask some one to lend you one to test it. i could come over one day with mine in that case, if you dont find someone. ... Link

i managed to make it work (finally) hardware setup the computeres are hooked up to the same hub, which is in turn hooked up to the cable modem. the mac <--> hub is connected with a crossed cable the modem <--> hub is connected with a 10m straight cable. network (soft) settings the mac has enabled windows sharing reset the mac, make sure all the connections work, on the pc check out the network group has the same name as the mac... and then access the "entire windows network" on the pc and see the little icon pop up with mac.. now just dump the files where ever desired. YAY, and it's f___ fast too! ... Link ... Comment |
