Yes, the show sucks ass. The previews are funny but the show sucks. I don't know how they do it.

true, it's a rip-off, but humor doesn't work the same way here. Steve Carell is pretty popular here, especially in "idiot" roles after Anchorman. I've never seen the original Office, but the US one is pretty well liked from what I've heard.

actually, the us version is getting really poor ratings so i would say it is not well liked, the uk version on the other hand was the first non-us show to win an emmy award...it won 2...the uk version was critically popular in the us, but bc it aired on bbc america it didn't have a broad outlet...it was however hugely popular in some circles, nbc would not have ripped it off otherwise...but, you can't translate humor...it is uk humor, therefore you can't replicate it

i am not talking critical reviews either, i am talking ratings points that show how many people actually watch it...judging by those ratings points, it's probably just your friends who are watching...and true...they may like it, otherwise they wouldn't watch.
