by the mini way, broaky......
you do realise that its not 64 bit (its an old G4), and that it will be out of date as soon as Tiger comes out, with its 64 bit advantage? A single (or dual) G5 processor is a much better investment for the future, unless you use the mac mini ONLY for your living room streaming audio/video in future? I have been working on a G5 1.8 dual for a year now at work, and i must say speedwise i could not bear anything slower then a G5 1.8 dual. OS X is very graphic (GUI) intense, which makes the rendering slow ect...... but the G5 will benefit from the 64 bit extension, once tiger comes, and alot of the slowness will be history.......But the mac mini will stay slow and shurly get even slower, due to higher hardware demands. I dont want to stop you, but think about it twice, if you dont have alot of cash to burn. ... Link

i think the mini will be good for making me used to the mac environment, not soo bothered about tiger at the moment. i will wait until the g6 is out, probably in a year ;-) and then get a dual g5. .. almost got a g5 the other day though for £150 on ebay, but it sold for 155 in the end.. ...
