I have a problem with outlook 6.... when I'm connected to my router via ethernet I can send emails but when I'm wirless I get the following error: The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'xxxx.xxx@gmail.com'. Subject 'Fw: tet', Account: 'pop.wanadoo.fr', Server: 'smtp.wanadoo.fr', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '5 I have googled it to death... I have turned off all firewalls and anti viruses ... Comment

check instructions on mail setup on the isp's homepage.. you might be forgetting or have some extra checkbox ticked! ... Link

I had done everything 100 time over and over again.... but the simple solution which I should have started with was " Up date driver" now everything is wokring :-) ... Link

Glad you got it sorted the easy way :o) The two comments above studiously ignore the fact that it works fine when connected via wire, just not via wireless... ... Link

Try this next time you have a connection problem with outlook
Turn on error logging and check what the error log. Go to Options / other / advanced options and enable ""Enable mail logging (troubleshooting)". This wil log all activity to a log file C:\Documents and Settings\ Make sure you turn this off when you are done as it will just keep growing the log file! -Stefan ... Link ... Comment |
