Nathaniel Hornblower, a.k.a Adam Yauch, a.k.a MCA, has broken new ground in the music documentary genre with the new film Awesome; I Fuckin' Shot That! However, to call the film Hornblower's (or Yauch's or whoever's) would be not altogether correct; as the title not-so-subtly implies, the film is an "authorized bootleg," a new height in democratic filmmaking which compiles footage from 50 cameras dispersed among fans at the Beasties' sold out October 9th, 2004 concert at Madison Square Garden. The previously unexplored practice of putting fans behind the lens en masse creates the otherwise unachievable effect of experiencing the show from multiple vantage points. Simply put, AIFST! is not merely a film about a soldout performance -- it's the next best thing to attending in person.

Gives a nice picture of the current macro trends/dangers/opportunities. Not really hard to grasp as its written for the common people.
