OK so we are back from sweden, lovely lovely, amazing weather etc etc, photos will follow.

One point I have to make, though, is my severe disappointment when I finally saw an elk...

After finally figuring out what the difference between a moose and an elk is (americans call them moose, europeans call them elks - there is also an american elk but it doesnt look like the european one... or something like that)

Aaanyway, driving home in the early hours of the morning we finally saw one... I had been expecting something like this, the majestic king of the forests, surveying his domain...

BUT NO!!!

what confronted me was this

EEEK! it looked more like a rather beaten-up camel... it also moved in freakish slow motion. Urgh.
