About Champéry....Not a very good text though as it is only referring to Champéry's slopes and not to the whole ski area (Portes du Soleil)...there is 650 km of pist.... The famous "Le Mur"...etc....and it is CHEAP!

Last night I went to Big Dave (Dave Leck's) 50th Birthday Party. He asked me to say hello to all that I was still in contact with and might have known him; so, Hello.

He's in good spirits, didn't think he'd make 50 but he's still alive and very similar to last you all saw him. He also expressed a desire at some point to have an unofficial, beer based, reunion of sorts in a pub in the city. Other people interested in this idea were Rico Marchetti and John Cannings.

Could be an interesting night if anyone's up for it (and we'll all take turns to talk to JC so that none of us reach the stage of actually falling asleep)...
