Just go and read a good SEO page and it'll tell you all about these tips and tricks, plus a hell of a lot more...
This is also a method used to hack into a lot of websites and corprorate networks. By searching for files sitting on webservers such as password.txt and things like that. Apparently it's amazing how much bad security there is out there! ... Link
